Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the use of scrum practices within multiple scrum teams

  • Provide delivery mentorship, coaching, behavioural role modelling & direct support to the delivery teams

  • Play a role in developing high performing, self-organised teams by promoting the application of scrum values, principles and practices in a pragmatic manner

  • Increase the maturity within the teams in terms of agile adoption through coaching and nurturing

  • Supporting & improving all aspects of the team’s way of working from clarifying purpose and outcome, decomposition and planning, resolving issues/impediments, improving policies & interactions, strengthening cross-functionality

Job requirements

Key Requirements

  • 4+ years experience as a scrum master in an agile product development environment, demonstrating a deep understanding of Scrum principles, values, roles and practices

  • Well versed in the use of supporting tools like Jira & confluence

  • Formal agile certification like CSM for Scrum, and ideally also a Certified LeSS Practitioner

  • Experience with co-leading and inspiring an agile community of practice

  • Strong team facilitation, collaboration, influencing and communication skills

  • Self-awareness and the ability to foster a trusted environment with other teams and staff

  • Ability to assist others to understand and balance corporate business, product strategy, customer and technology demands/influences on product development

  • Strong influencing, facilitation & coaching skills

  • Strong reflective practice, problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills

  • Ability to implement & mentor scrum practices

  • Ability to create transparency and visibility into a system in order to highlight areas to improve efficacy & efficiency

  • Ability to foster a safe and trusting environment where conflicts can be navigated in a healthy way without fear of blame

  • Bachelor degree in Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent experience
