Role Overview
As a Social Media Content Creator, you are the visual storyteller for this tech company's Social Media voice. You will be responsible for bringing their technology and culture to life through high-impact social-first content. You will execute a social media strategy with a high focus on creativity, from ideation to realisation and optimisation of social-first content specifically designed to thrive in the fast-paced, social media landscape. As a social media influencer does, you have a "creator-first" mindset and a deep understanding of how to stop the scroll through compelling visual narratives. Maybe, you are a Social Media Content Creator for channels you own.
What You’ll Do
You will be the primary engine of the EMEA social media creativity house. You’ll bring to life our narratives through innovative formats, trends, and storytelling techniques that engage our audiences. Your goal is to translate complex technical concepts or corporate brand messaging into snackable, engaging, relatable, and highly shareable video content that resonates with our community.
Who You’ll Work With
You will be embedded within the EMEA Social Media Team, working closely with Regional Social Media Managers and the broader Digital Comms Team. You will collaborate with PR, executive communications managers, event teams, internal subject matter experts and occasionally marketing teams to identify stories worth telling and transform them into high-quality social media assets.
Things You’ll Work On
- Channel Management: Manage the day-to-day publishing of social media content, including writing engaging post texts, and monitoring community engagement to foster a two-way dialogue. Maintain channels up to date in functionality and new features.
- Creativity feed: As the creative pillar of the broader social team, you will proactively share trend-based insights, innovative concepts, and experimental content ideas that inform and shape the long-term regional strategy and editorial planning.
- End-to-End Production: Own the visual storytelling content lifecycle from ideation and concept, to realisation, and optimisation.
- Video-First Strategy: Create, edit, and optimise video content (Reels, TikToks, Shorts, etc.) that is native to the platform and optimises maximum reach and engagement using a direct storytelling sense.
- Trend Execution: Monitor social media trends in real-time and rapidly produce content that keeps the brand relevant and conversational.
- Performance Optimisation: Feed creation strategy with data analytics to understand what visual styles, pacing, and hooks work best, and continuously refine scripting approach based on data.
Skillset Requirements
- Portfolio Required: A strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in video production, editing, and storytelling for social media.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, or similar).
- Scripting & Storyboarding: Ability to write concise, punchy scripts that hook viewers in the first 3 seconds.
- Platform Expertise: Deep knowledge of the algorithms and content best practices for short-form video platforms (LinkedIn Video, YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, TikTok).
- Creative Execution: A keen eye for lighting, sound, and composition, whether filming with a professional camera or a smartphone.
- Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple projects while maintaining high attention to detail and brand consistency.
- Communication: Excellent collaboration skills; ability to guide stakeholders who may not be comfortable on camera to ensure authentic, high-quality results.
- Education: Degree in Film, Media, Communications, or equivalent practical experience.
Nice to have:
- Experience in motion graphics or animation (After Effects).
- Experience with live streaming production and moderation.
- Experience managing social media communities for a global brand.
- Ability to travel for on-site content capture at events.
