Roles and Responsibilities

  • Giving accurate and timely counsel to executives in a variety of legal topics, particular on technology commercial contracts.

  • Collaborating with management to devise efficient defence strategies

  • Specifying internal governance policies and regularly monitor compliance

  • Represent the company by negotiating our standard membership agreements with our global FI and MNC client base

  • Constructing professional service agreements with service providers and clients

  • Collaborate with external counsel on an update to our Trade Finance product rulebook

  • Communicate and negotiate with external parties (regulators, external counsel, public authority etc.), creating relations of trust

  • Establish tools and processes to support standardisation and scalability

  • Collaborate with our Members and the wider ecosystem on regulatory and industry initiatives

  • Promote Contour’s mission, approach and strategy in public forums (conferences, white-papers

Job requirements

Key Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience at a top tier international law firm law firm or in-house tech company with solid experience advising on commercial contracts, licensing and data privacy

  • Qualified to practice in England and Wales / Australia

  • Demonstrated ability to create legal defensive or proactive strategies

  • High degree of professional ethics and integrity

  • Highly commercially minded

  • Proven interest within the technology / fintech space.

  • Knowledge of the blockchain, Trade Finance, Payments from a legal perspective a plus

  • Ability to collaborate closely with business owners, finance, engineering and procurement on client and vendor matters

  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills

  • Ability to consistently and positively contribute in a fast-paced, changing work environment
