Key Role:
Administration of all facets of payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and audit procedures.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and develop assigned accounting personnel, if any
  • Prepare tax returns annually
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly GST filings
  • Ensuring statutory dues are done within due dates.
  • Coordinate with external accounting firm
  • Supervise and process payroll
  • Prepare and implement budget/cost analysis
  • Manage office cash flows
  • Report financials on a weekly/monthly basis
  • Manage the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
  • Maintain inter-office overseas transactions and reconciliation
  • Ensure timely outward remittances with required compliances
  • Examine financial data for accuracy and compliance with company policies and
  • procedures
  • Compare actuals vs budgeted and explain variances
  • Able to reply to notices from Income Tax, GST, or any other legal authorities.
  • Handle scrutiny and assessments under Income Tax, GST, etc.
  • Knowledge of IRAS filings and compliances
  • Measure KPIs and handle appraisals of team
  • Oversee audit and audit procedures
  • Prepare and present managerial reports to the US HQ, HU foreign holding and shareholders/owners as requested.
  • Participate in monthly global meetings and collaborate with other Bare finance officers.
  • Other duties as assigned
 
Associated Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required:
 
  •  3+ year’s experience in a similar accounting role, Chartered Accountant with Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field or professional accounting designation/certification
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and theory
  • Very strong aptitude for learning new computer software and database principles; strong mathematical abilities
  • Ability to interact effectively within all levels of the organization
  • Ability to use sound judgement and handle confidential information in a professional manner
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required; ability to listen, ask for clarification, and accept feedback.
  • Willingness to cross-train in other departments as business needs require
 
Competency Skills:
 
  • Demonstrated proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Outlook and accounting software, QuickBooks, SAP, etc.
  • Ability to work with diverse individuals by phone, in person, or through electronic communication means.
  • Ability to foster a team spirit; positive attitude towards work, co-workers, and management.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks at different stages in a deadline-driven environment.
