Our client is a marketing and advertising agency that is part of a large agency network globally. Events management is its core offering and since its inception, they have been working with top tech companies worldwide to execute large-scale events and conferences.

The Role

Working with the Event Director, your primary responsibility is to develop an operational strategy to ensure high levels of production values and adapt strategy with objectives continuously improving on SOPs where necessary.

You are also expected to:
  • Lead event team as a point of contact with clients to provide a consultative approach to event planning, ensuring clear objectives are identified, and interpret to develop an integrated event strategy.
  • Prepare proposals and pitches, and develop event strategies including the creative direction, budget, logistics, production, technical and programming aspects of the events.
  • Conduct market research, gather information, and develop proposals and presentations for events.
  • Negotiate contracts with event vendors including logistics, equipment, entertainment, and venues across the Asia Pacific region.
  • Manage on-site operations, production, technical and manpower management to ensure smooth delivery of the physical events
  • Create, customize, and configure virtual event pages. Upload content and create custom virtual meeting layouts and event flows.

The person we are looking for is an excellent executor, producer, and client manager all rolled into one. The Assistant Events Director is someone who provides solutions and consults clients from an events perspective. 

We are also looking for someone with at least 8 years of experience in regional event management - physical, virtual, or hybrid.

We're looking for an Event Manager with demonstrable success in show calling and managing any of the following:
  • B2B MICE events/ conferences
  • Large-scale tech conferences (up to 5000 people)
  • CEO luncheon programs
  • Product launches
  • Keynote plenaries
