If you are an employer in Singapore, hopefully you're already aware of the new Fair Consideration Framework regulations which require you to advertise roles on Jobsbank. If you've not heard of it, or if you still aren't clear what exactly is expected of you, read on!
With effect from 1 August 2014, firms in Singapore submitting new Employment Pass (EP) applications will have to comply with the new advertising requirements set by the MOM.
This means before you can apply for an EP you need to advertise a role for 14 days on the new WDA jobsbank. If you end up needing to hire someone on an EP this could really hold up your hiring process if you don't advertise the role on Jobsbank as soon as you start your search.
If you meet all the following criteria you will need to use Jobsbank:
Are you making a hire and could end up offering the role to an EP holder?
Does your company have more than 25 members of staff?
Will the vacancy pay less than $12,000/month?
(Note the regulations apply to EP passes only, S-Pass and Work Permits are exempt)
