CONTEXT OF THE ROLE

Reporting to SVP of Asia Pacific, the Business Development Director is based in Singapore and will drive customer acquisition in the country . The ideal candidate will be an individual who is self-motivated, possesses high energy and has a strong business acumen. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Be an individual contributor by developing the overall sales and business development plan in Singapore

  • Manages full sales cycle including generation of leads to managing live accounts

  • Possesses full ownership of customer requests and exploring new opportunities to add value in Company positioning

  • Oversees and manages coordination in rolling out new services to targeted partners/customers

  • Attends tradeshows and follow-up on source leads

  • Ensures all specific reports and records are completed within timeframe, including utilization of CRM tool with precision

  • Provides timely feedback to line manager about performance, sales activity, account management status and strategy planned

  • Ensures satisfaction amongst existing accounts to achieve positive account retention and contractual health

  • Initiate and maintain strong working relationship with colleagues and customers to ease communication channels and facilitate resolutions for issues

  • Assists to identify trends by researching on industry, related events and announcements

  • Communicates needs of customers effectively to support team members

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

QUALIFICATION

  • Minimally a Bachelor Degree

EXPERIENCE

  • At least 5 years in a client facing role and prior direct/indirect work experience in Money Transfer or Mobile Financial Services

  • Experience in solution sales to corporates and banks

  • Results-oriented with outstanding communication, organization and negotiation skills

  • Has a strong sense of ownership and accountability

  • Ability to interact with C-level

  • Superior networking skills

  • Hands-on experience with Zoho CRM is desirable

  • Flexible, self-motivated, responsible and disciplined individual

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, high energy and team-oriented environment

  • Highly adaptable, able to accept and create change

  • Strong understanding of market dynamics and requirements

  • Strong sense of initiative and ability to work both independently and part of a team

  • Excellent attention to details 

  • Approximate travel frequency of 20%
